Uttarakhand: Happy 23rd Foundation Day

Today the heartland of the Himalayas, Uttarakhand (27th State of India), celebrates its 23rd Foundation Day. This day holds great significance for the people of Uttarakhand as they celebrate their state’s Foundation Day. It is a moment to remember the past and look forward to a brighter future. With unity and hope, the people of Uttarakhand continue on their journey of progress.

President Draupadi Murmu, who is currently on Uttarakhand’s visit, graced the Uttarakhand Foundation Day celebration in Dehradun.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the people of Uttarakhand, saying, “Uttarakhand, the land of the gods, has made an invaluable contribution to the richness of Indian culture and tradition. The people of this state, known for their dedication to nature tourism, are not only hardworking but also incredibly brave. On the occasion of the state’s Foundation Day, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all of them.”

Uttarakhand’s 23rd Foundation Day is a time to honor the people who have made this state what it is today and to remember those who have played a role in shaping its history. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was in Mumbai recently for Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023. During the summit’s road show he shared his aim to double the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in five years. Memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 30,200 crore were signed between the Uttarakhand government and various industrial groups.

In earlier developments, the state government signed an investment agreement of Rs 26,575 crore in Delhi on September 14, followed by another investment agreement worth Rs 12,500 crore in the UK on September 26 and 27, and an agreement worth Rs 15,475 crore in the UAE.

The state’s future is as promising as its past is inspiring. With increased investment in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, Uttarakhand is poised to achieve new heights of development. Its commitment to sustainable practices will continue to set an example for other regions, showing that progress and environmental preservation can go hand in hand.
